The Village At Morrisons Cove is set in perhaps one of the most scenic spots in Pennsylvania. The "Great Cove" as it was once called, is a fertile limestone valley dotted with family farms and spectacular vistas of the surrounding mountains. In spite of such a lovely, rural setting, The Village At Morrisons Cove is conveniently located at town's edge in the borough of Martinsburg and only minutes from Bedford, Altoona, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Ours is a busy, vibrant community with an inviting mix of independent living options that include apartments, duplex cottages, single family homes, and homeowner opportunities. The Village At Morrisons Cove is the ideal choice for older adults who enjoy the friendship, fellowship and sense of community, the security of knowing assistance is a phone call away and the freedom from burdensome home maintenance.
Our residents have the opportunity to live their lives as fully and actively as possible, and we offer a variety of activities, services and amenities. Our goal is to provide the means to help make our residents' lives the best that they can be.
The Village At Morrisons Cove, in affiliation with the Middle Pennsylvania District Church of the Brethren, is established to serve the members of the Church of the Brethren and all other people as well. We believe that God has charged us to take care for the whole person, and so our mission is to provide a residential community and associated services that enrich the spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical lives of its residents. We welcome and serve people who are enjoying active retirement; those who may need some assistance with daily living, and those who are convalescing or who need long-term nursing care. We are also happy to provide respite care.
The Morrisons Cove Home was established in 1903, and since that time, we have grown to meet the changing needs of older adults to provide a vital community in which all can live their lives to the fullest extent.
