The Village offers Personal Care within our Court Apartments. Personal Care is an alternative to nursing care for those who require minimal assistance with activities of daily living and supervision of their medications. Respite care services are also available.
In order for an individual to be appropriate for personal care at The Village, he or she should be able to ambulate independently, with or without assistive devices, and enjoy meals in the dining room with little or no assistance. The individual should also be mentally and physically alert and able to bath, groom, and dress themselves with minimal assistance.
Personal care services include:
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily in the dining room
- Housekeeping and laundry services
- Medical transportation
- Social services and case management
- Social activities programming
- Utilities
- Management of medications and medical needs
- 24-hour supervision by our professional nursing department
The units in the Court Apartments are one and two bedroom with living room, kitchen, bath, and dining areas. Individuals can come in as a semi-private resident and share a room with another individual, or they can come in as a private resident and have a room to themselves. The difference is in the cost and occupancy. We also offer another senario for couples; one person can be independent and the other personal care or both can be personal care.
